Katie & Adam’s Portugal destination wedding was one of the highlights of the summer. We jetted off into 32C sunshine to a beautiful venue known as The Quinta, nestled in the Sinta mountain with views over the Atlantic ocean. The venue oozes old charm. It’s beautiful and stylish and comes with plenty of gardens to explore. The ceremony was taking place later in the afternoon, so we had plenty of time to capture the pre-wedding preparations with both Katie & Adam. When the moment arrived, Katie and her bridal party made their way down the chapel steps to the courtyard below where Adam and the guests were waiting. Some of the wedding party found shade under umbrellas as it was a real scorcher of an afternoon. After the knot was officially tied, the same chapel steps played host to both the confetti throwing and big group photograph. Everyone was then ushered to the garden on the other side of the building, where drinks and canapes were served and guests enjoyed a live saxophonist.

We found a space in the shade for a few formal photographs, but the majority of the reception was spent capturing plenty of natural moments. As guests found their seats we made time for a few wedding portraits around the stunning grounds. This venue is blessed with plenty of spots to choose from. Once we’d got a few different shots, Katie & Adam then descended the U-shaped outdoor staircase to the long single dining table below. It was a spellbinding location and the table was decorated beautifully. After plenty of wine and three touching speeches, the sun was setting over the ocean and it was time to take the party indoors. A live band flown over from England kept the dance floor packed and everyone partied deep into the night. Katie & Adam’s Portugal destination wedding was a real joy to be part of and a beauty to witness – take a look below!
