Sarah & Christina flew over from Washington DC for their Cambridge pre-wedding shoot. They were getting married at the end of the week in Northamptonshire and wanted to have some photos taken around picturesque Cambridge where Christina was a student of the stars; the cosmic variety, not celebrities. They’d chosen a perfect summer evening and we spent 90 minutes or so strolling through old haunts, chasing the light and Cambridge classics. After meeting at a pub for a pint and to begin getting to know each other, we headed along the river and past the punts towards Jesus Green. As always, Cambridge was busy but we found a few quieter spots where the evening sun was adding a sparkle to the scene. We cut through town and utilised some classic Cambridge side streets packed full of character, before making our way along the colleges including the classic view of Kings College Chapel. Finally we headed towards Coe Fen to make the most of the final rays of the day. The sun backlit the meadows and gave a golden edge to Sarah & Christina, who themselves were a real joy to photograph; super relaxed, a laugh a minute and all round great company. Their wonderful wedding would be happening a few days later, and this Cambridge pre-wedding shoot was the perfect introduction and warm up to the big day.
