I really enjoyed photographing Emmy & Matt’s Oakham Castle wedding. The day was filled with so much love, fun, passion and personal touches, and so days like these always make a lasting impression. Oakham Castle is a lovely wedding venue in the heart of Oakham, it’s a medieval hall which once hosted kings, set in a large grass walled enclosure giving plenty of space for guests. Matt’s passion is classic cars and so a fleet of Morris Minor’s were on hand to ferry to wedding party. After the ceremony the guests enjoyed ice creams in the grounds of the castle, before the party made their way to the village of Sewstern for the reception. Along the way we took a break with Matt and Emmy to capture some lovely portraits of them in the Rutland countryside. Emmy’s passion is gardening and so the village hall was beautifully decorated with floral blooms. The rest of the day was filled with great food, heart warming speeches, plenty of beer and a great band to keep everyone on the dance floor.
