Sally & Pree’s Gonville & Caius College wedding was my second visit to this lovely college in the space of a year. The previous summer I had been along to photograph the wedding of Danielle and Cyril, who are college friends of Sally and Pree and had recommended me. Like many of the Cambridge Colleges, it’s a wonderful venue steeped in history and grandeur, and has a bounty of opportunities for photography. Sally & Pree got ready separately but within the college, and I split my time between them. They had a lovely traditional ceremony in the college chapel and were serenaded by the choir throughout the service. After the wedding ceremony we made time for family photos and portraits of Sally and Pree. We took a few around the grounds of Gonville & Caius College, and then headed out into Cambridge to capture some of the more iconic landmarks and beauty spots around town. Sally’s parents came along too for some photos, as they were visiting from Hong Kong and could also enjoy being tourists, as well as parents of the bride. After we’d taken in the sights it was time to return to the Gonville & Caius College wedding reception, where guests were waiting with champagne while a string quartet provided the ambiance. For the wedding breakfasts, the wedding party then headed to the dining room for a beautiful candlelit dinner followed by speeches. If you are planning a Gonville & Caius College wedding and are in need of a photographer then please do get in touch!
